Ok I have to put a caveat here. I am not a big fan of Sci-fi. I love to watch it, but I sometimes have a hard time reading it. The words trip me up and sometimes the descriptions an author uses, I can’t quite picture in my mind. As an avid reader, being able to picture what I’m reading is a huge part of the joy for me. NOW, having said that, I honestly can say, that with this book I didn’t have that problem. Talon Ps uses the written word to create a whole new world, where humans are but one species of being. Set on a space station, the book tells the story of Rafe and Torin. These two men meet, find each other and the sparks fly! But there are rules in place for a reason. Rafe is told to keep his ‘blue hands’ to himself and that TorinLee is off limits.
Rafe and TorinLee suffer from the same condition that makes their touch deadly to everyone, hence the hands off policy. But that doesn’t stop our two men from falling for each other hard and fast. Now, the thing about Torin is, he’s not JUST Torin, he’s part of a pair. His other half is Lee, and she has her own story. This is about our two heroes’. When TorinLee is attacked, Rafe is blamed so he vows to keep his hands to himself. Well… Torin has other ideas!
The action is hard and fast, exciting to read. And the sex is so smoking hot between Rafe and Torin that for a moment I thought MY smoke detectors were going to go off!!
There is a second part to this story, our heroine Lee. I can’t wait to read what Talon has in store for her!!
I am a huge fan of this particular author, and have been for quite awhile. My only complaint is that there is a lot of technical writing in this book but that’s my issue. Talon’s imagination at bringing it all to life is superb and it was worth it to read even if I did have to read some parts more than once. Again, my old mind not the author here.
If you are a fan of Sci –fi, or of Talon Ps, or both, this is the book for you!
